| Purpose of the Job: | |
| - Intermediate level mechanical engineering position in product development team responsible for creating high value UPS solutions for customers worldwide. - Cooperation with ID engineer to fix the ID feasibility. - Perform the design of sheetmetal and plastic enclosures, subassemblies, and piece parts including packaging foam and cartons. And verify the design. - Select mechanical components and sources, design product labels and product marking artworks, produce specification drawings. - Participate in new tooling parts qualification and parts maintenance follow up. | |

| Regular Responsibilities: |
| ? • Review of the marketing specification, industry standards and development of product requirements.? • Evaluation/design of new power converter/ inverter topologies for better efficiency, power density, cost, and reliability.? • Implement and verify control arithmetic for system performance, stabilization and efficiency.? • Develop documentation of design, calculations, modeling, analysis, and control algorithm development.? • Develop work instructions and procedures for use in the field for design validation and performance evaluation.? • Communicate with power electronic team on technical issues and solutions.? • Support any failure root cause analysis on the existing UPS systems and recommend cost effective corrective actions. | SUMMARY OF JOB: |
| Owner for Rack/PDU Product, response for overall technical/Quality issues from NPI, manufacturing, and marketing. final approver for any product Engineering change. Resolving any issues raised by service engineer from field. |
| ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: |
| 1). Participate in the investigation and resolution of issues that negatively affect the quality, performance, and reliability of Rack/PDU product in a manufacturing environment from a mechanical and electrical standpoint. |
| 2). Responsible to support manufacturing and the field through corrective action to improve product design and/or reduce product and production costs. |
| 3). Review factory DPU for better tracking production quality |
| 4). Facing customer for field issues, sum the defects in fields, and complete/review the final quality report for field defects |
| 5). Training service engineer to deal with the technical issues happened in Customer side |

| Summary of the Job: |
| Actively participate as key team member on NPD Team designing Rack System products and/or Accessories for Data Center Environments, over-seeing cost reduction projects, and qualifying sourced products per Marketing and Sales plans. |
| Regular Responsibilities: |
| • Develop design documentation, including engineering drawings and Bills Of Materials for the release of mechanical assemblies, sub assemblies and components including sheet metal, plastics, and accessaries for Rack System. • Use Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Database Management tools for product development. • Build and test prototype and qualification level assemblies. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and logistical issues. • Support aggressive product development schedules • Interface with tooling engineers to develop custom fabricated parts. • Interface with NPD manufacturing engineers to introduce new products to the factory. • Interface with electrical and firmware engineers during design phase. • Work as part of a team. • Work with minimal supervision. • Assist in component selection and qualification for various parts being used on NPD programs. |
